I think this price cut will help Sony overtake Microsoft. When deciding on a console, it all boils down to games and price. Now Mircosoft and Sony don't have a huge difference in their library. Anything out on the 360 usually ends up ported to PC on PS3. So that just leaves price. And before MS was way ahead of sony. The PS3 was overpriced. And although people have called Nintendos motion controls a gimmick, the same could be said for a blu-ray player. So the 360 was the choice to make.

But now thats not the case. With a cheaper price, free online play, and a much much lower failure rate, the PS3 is now the choice for gamers who are deciding between it and a 360.

MS is going to fall back into 3rd place, with its gouging of customers, having the most expensive accessories on the market. Not to mention overcharging for certain games. ODST was originally announced as a budget title, its 4 hours of single player. A expansion pack basically and it costs just as much as a regular retail game.

Gamers will get sick of Microsofts nickel and dimeing and go to Sony. As for Nintendo's Wii. Nothing will overtake it. It offers a style of game play not offered by its competitors, it has ease of use so anyone can master a wii game. It is the best console to have for social gaming. PS3 and X60 are better suited for introvert gamers who have a majority of their friends online.
