Remember how the Segway eliminated walking? Well, look out, Traditional Wind Power Technology!

Dean Kamen, the inventor and entrepreneur who's best/notoriously known as the inventor of the Segway personal transport dealy, is actually a pretty legitimate engineer, with all sorts of medical technology innovations to his name. But his newest patent application has the same sort of "Really?" factor that accompanied his announcement of the Segway.

Kamen admitted in an interview that his new invention isn't meant to compete with the energy-producing capabilities of the turbines found in wind farms, but he cites his device's portability and light weight as factors that might make it attractive to homeowners as an extra source of electricity.
