Kadeena Cox claims historic double gold in Rio

British para-athlete Kadeena Cox won gold in cycling and track while breaking two separate world records in the process. She is the first British para-athlete to complete the feat since 1984.

Winning one gold medal is hard enough. Great Britain's KadeenaCox stunned the crowds in Rio by winning two golds in twodifferentsports.

Cox took top prizein cycling C4-5 time trials on Saturday, then proceeded to break a world record on Wednesday to win the 400-metre T38.Adda bronze medal in the 100T38 for good measure and you've got yourself an impressive athlete with still more events to come.

Cox competed in track and field before she suffered a stroke two years ago and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Since the condition is exacerbated by physical activity and actually causes fatigue, riding a bike was all she could manage at first.
