The passing of hockey legend Gordie Howe inspired plenty of reaction from those that drew inspiration from "Mr. Hockey."

The news of Gordie Howe's death onFriday leftthe sports world saddened to have lost a true hockey legend.

Wayne Gretzky's Twitter account posted a touching tribute, referring to the Great One'shero as the "the greatest hockey player ever."
