Rapper Drake headlines all-star game entertainment

Toronto rapper Drake will headline the second intermission entertainment at the 2012 NHL all-star game at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa.

Toronto rapper Drake has been spotted on the sidelines of many an NBAgame,but thisSunday he'll be lending his star power to a hockey arena instead.

It was announced Tuesday that Drake will be headlining the second intermission entertainment at the 2012 NHL all-star game at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa.

Drake released his second studio album, Take Care,in November of last year.It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard music chart, selling 630,000 copies. His first album, Thank Me Later, was released in 2010 and also debuted at No.1.

Drake has won two Juno Awards and is nominated for three 2012 Grammy Awards.

Other artists slated to perform during this year'sall-star game include new hip-hop/indie rock artist Outasight (Richard Andrew)and winner of the first season of NBC's The Voice, Javier Colon. Colon has released two pop music albums; one in 2003 and another in 2007.He is best known for his debut single,Stitch by Stitch.

Colon will perform the American national anthem, while longtime Ottawa Senators anthem singer Lyndon Slewidge will be performing Canada's national anthem.

The puck drops for the all-star game at 4 p.m. ET on Sunday and can be watched on CBC and CBCSports.ca.
