Halloween Craft: Pine Cone Bats

Autumn is such a wonderful time of year. There is such immense beauty and so many wonderful nature crafting supplies to be gathered. We decided use some of the bits of nature we found on a Autumn woodland walk and craft up some bats. Perfect for setting the scene for Halloween!

To create you will need:

• pine cones
• milkweed pods
• red beads
• black paint
• glue gun and glue

To begin:

Head on into the woods and gather your pine cones and milkweed pods.

Cut two scales off one of your pine cones.

Paint your pine cone, two milkweed pods and the two pine cone scales black. Allow it all to dry and then glue your milkweed pods to the pine cone for the bat's wings.

Glue on the black pine cone scales for the bat's ears.

Glue on two red beads for eyes.

There you have it! A spooky bat to swoop around on Halloween!
