7 Kids Podcasts That Are Perfect for Family Listening or Getting A Bit of Peace

By Kevin Naulls, CBC Parents Staff

Apr 8, 2020

If you’re listening to the sounds around you these days, you’ve probably heard something precious smash to pieces.

You’ve perhaps heard your kid talk about pooping their pants while you’re on a work call.

Maybe, just maybe, you’ve heard the words, “I’m bored.”

And a shrill scream that sounds like someone has died, but in fact the peas are just touching the potatoes.

That’s the soundtrack for many people’s lives right now. Like if John Williams scored Kindergarten Cop.

I figured a reprieve from this would be nice, so I looked around the world for some choice audio to underscore these challenging times. These seven options are perfect for family listening or just setting and forgetting.

The Story Store and Shorties

If you’re looking for a good time and not a long time, The Story Store: Shorties are perfect. Well, there is a whole season one to catch up on and repeat! And there are plenty of shorties coming weekly! Listen here
