‘I Definitely Don’t Wish I Had Two Arms’: People With Limb Differences Answer Your Questions

People with limb differences get asked a lot of questions, like how the community uses a toothbrush or whether they've developed any tricks for manouevering life's many challenges. That's why Stump Kitchen's Alexis Hillyard rallied her friends together for a little AMA (Ask Me Anything) session, wherein they answer some commonly asked questions. You may have had some of these questions before and Eilidh, Natalee, Ethan, Callie, Sawyer and Coda are happy to answer in the video above.

Coda, Age 11 

On whether he wonders about what it would be like to not have a limb difference: "Sometimes I think it would be cool to, maybe, experience how I can do other things with two five-fingered hands or no hands — or no limbs at all."

Callie, Age 11

On what it feels like to have a limb difference: "I’ve never felt having two hands. It’s like usual."

Ethan, Age 10

On what it's like to live with his limb difference and talk about it with others: “At first, when people ask you, it’s kind of scary. But once you get used to it, it feels like people just admire you.”

Sawyer, Age 19

On whether she can move "it": "Yes, I can move it, move it."

Natalee, Age 22

On not wanting her life to be anything other than what it is: "I definitely don’t wish I had two arms. I feel like my life would be so different and I wouldn’t be the same person I am today."

Eilidh, Age 26

On how her limb difference is good for teaching: "It’s ups and downs. It’s teaching people about bodies that can be different."
