White House correspondents' dinner: Famous faces on the red carpet

The annual White House correspondents' dinner brings together an unusual mix of actors, musicians, athletes, government officials and journalists.

U.S. President Barack Obama has described the annual event as Washington celebrating itself, while others call it the "nerd prom." Proceeds from the dinner go toward journalism scholarships and awards.
