Prince Philip, the 99-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth, has been by the Queen's side throughout her 67 years on the throne. Here's a look back at Philip's royal career spanning seven decades and marked by the occasional gaffe.

Philip officially bowed out of public life with a final solo appearance in August 2017
