NASA worker dies at shuttle launch site

A NASA worker fell to his death at the launch pad for the space shuttle Endeavour on Monday morning, according to the space agency.

A NASA worker fell to his death at the launch pad for the space shuttle Endeavour on Monday morning,according to the space agency.

The victim, whoworked for United Space Alliance, a NASA contractor, fellat about 7:40 a.m. ETat the Kennedy Space Centerat Cape Canaveral, Fla. All work has been suspended for the rest of the day while employees are offered counselling.

"NASA emergency medical personnel responded, but they were unable to revive the man. Because of medical privacy, currently we're not able to release any additional details about this fatality. Family members are being notified," the agency said in a release.

Endeavour is scheduled to blast off April 19 on its final flight to the International Space Station.
