Party's big win collides with Star Wars trailer, Blue Jays on social media

News of a projected Liberal majority and Justin Trudeau set to bethe nextprime minister proved fruitful material for jokes, images mash-ups and nostalgia on social media.

Thanks to the comparative wealth of images from Trudeau's life from black-and-white photographs of him as a toddler with his fatherto more colourful exploits such as his infamous boxing matchpolitical junkies had fun with the man who might turn out to be the most meme-friendly prime minister in Canada's history.

Others mashed up Trudeau'sbig winwith other hot topics on Twitter, from the Toronto Blue Jays' triumph against the Kansas City Royals, to the release of the newest trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
