Federal Liberals gather in Montreal on Thursday for four days of speeches and policy debates, amid stepped up attacks from the Conservatives.

The party's first policy convention since Justin Trudeau was elected leader less than a year ago will feature speeches from some of Trudeau's hand-picked prospective candidates, including retired general Andrew Leslie, whose $72,000 taxpayer-backed moving expenses have been the subject of Conservative attacks this week.

The Liberals will be talking policy as well - though apparently not prostitution or pot, since resolutions on those topics are no longer on the table.
