Canada election 2015: Where the leaders are Monday

The New Democrats are getting some high-profile help onthe campaign trail today as Canada's former ambassador tothe UnitedNations is joining TomMulcair.

Stephen Lewis, who is also a former Ontario NDP leader, will joinMulcair at a campaign event in Toronto this morning.

Lewis represented Canada at the UN in the 80s and was the UNSecretary-General's special envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africafrom 2001until 2006.

Mulcair is spending the day in the Toronto-area with a rally inMississauga this evening.

Liberal leader Justin Trudeau is also spending the day in Ontariowith an announcement in Belleville and a rally in Peterborough.

Trudeau is expected to promise a Liberal government would restorea system of lifetime pensions for wounded veterans, abandoning thelump-sum payment model the Conservatives brought in that has been abone of contention with many vets.

Conservative leader Stephen Harper is spending the day in Quebec, beginning with acampaign event inDrummondville while Bloc Qubcois leader Gilles Duceppe iscontinuing to campaign in the Gasp with events in Mont Joli andRimouski.
