About interning here How you can prepare to work here
As It Happens As It Happens takes listeners on a trip around the world, every day. The program is famous for its range of topics and tones and for talking to people at the heart of the story. If a political scandal is brewing, we will be chasing the politician at the center of it. If a natural disaster strikes, we will be talking to someone in the thick of it. If a guy has a cockroach stuck in his ear, we will be talking to that guy.

As It Happens has been CBC's award winning evening current affairs flagship for more than 50 years. It's a great place to learn and develop your pitching, chasing, editing and writing. You'll work alongside world-class hosts. There are opportunities to contribute to our streaming and digital copy editions. We provide a specific mentor on the show and you will definitely have work to do. We like to think it's a pretty fun place to work too.
