Mills McCartney hires Diana's divorce lawyer

Paul McCartney's estranged wife has hired Princess Diana's divorce lawyer, according to reports on Tuesday.

Paul McCartney's estranged wife has hired a divorce lawyer who worked for the Princess of Wales, according to reports on Tuesday.

Heather Mills McCartney has hired Anthony Julius, the lawyer who represented Diana in her divorce proceedings with Prince Charles10 years ago.

On the other side of the court, the lawyer who represented the Prince of Wales Fiona Shackleton is representing the ex-Beatle.

Julius reportedly won a 1.7 million settlement forDiana in 1996.

The news comes on the heels of an incident in which a spokesman for Mills McCartney claimed she was locked out of her husband's home.

Mills McCartney arrived at the gate to McCartney's estate with their daughter, Beatrice, and had one of her security guards climb the wall to open the gate after realizing the locks had been changed. A security guard inside the home called police.

Spokesman Phil Hall says Mills McCartney wants to downplay the incident, calling it a "complete mix-up."

"She said she thinks it's hilarious," said Hall.

The couple, who married four years ago, have been embroiled in an acrimonious divorce since McCartney began proceedings.

Hall claimed on Tuesday that McCartney had frozen the couple's joint bank account and sent Mills McCartney a letter complaining about three bottles of cleaning liquid that were taken from his home to her office.
