Channing Tatum bringing Magic Mike act to Las Vegas

Channing Tatum is bringing his Magic Mike act to Las Vegas: he's directing a live male strip revue with the choreographer from the films.

Channing Tatum is bringing his Magic Mikeact to Las Vegas.

The 36-year-old actor has announced that he's directing Magic Mike Live Las Vegas.

It's billed as a live male strip revue based on the movie Magic Mikeand a sequel, Magic Mike XXL.

He made the announcement online via Facebook Live andwith a cheeky video, packed with shirtless men and cuddly puppies,in conjunction with women'smagazineCosmopolitan.

"We want to change what male entertainment has been for years. For 40, 50 years, it hasn't changed, and we want to make it better,"Tatum said, adding that the goal was to "make it more of a conversation instead of just men going up there and trying to tell you what you should thinkis sexy. We really want to hear from you."

Tatum starred as the title character in the films and is a former stripper himself, but he won't appear in the live show.

Still, he didn't rule out a possible cameo: "if I'm ever in shape enough to actually do the show again."

Alison Faulk createdchoreography for the movies and will also choreograph the live act.

Magic Mike Live Las Vegasis scheduled to begin previews at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in March 2017.
