Kevin Smith brings Tusk to Toronto and the madness to the red carpet at a late night screening at TIFF 2014.

Indiefanboyand cult filmmakerextraordinaire,Kevin Smith, screened his set-in-Canada filmTuskat TIFF's Midnight Madness Saturday night.

The bizarre horror comedy mash-up stars Justin Long as a podcast host who becomes drawn into a dangerous situation in "rural" Canada (keep your eye out for a barely recognizable Johnny Depp).

On the red carpet in Toronto,Smith whowrote and directed thefilm described it as avalentineto Canadathat'ssure to make an impression on audiences.

"I don't know if you like this movie or dislike this movie," said Smith. "It just happens to you and then you carry it with you like herpes."

Tuskcreeps intotheatres Sept. 19.

The Toronto International Film Festival runs through Sept. 14.
