Jackson's MD to keep Nevada medical licence

The doctor who faces charges in the death of singer Michael Jackson in California will be able to keep his Nevada medical licence.

The doctor who faces charges in the death of singer Michael Jackson in California will be able to keep his Nevada medical licence.

Dr. Conrad Murray was under investigation by a Nevada medical board over child support payments. He had been accused of giving inaccurate information to the board when he said he was up to date on support payments.

He received a reprimand and agreed to pay investigation costs.

Murray has pleaded not guilty in Los Angeles to involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death.

On Wednesday, his attorneys asked a judge to order testing on two syringes and an IV bag found in Jackson's home.

The defence team told a Los Angeles judge they fear they are running out of time and that fluids in the syringes and IV bag will deteriorate.

They say testing could determine the quantities of the drugs administered toJackson ahead of his death in June 2009.

Prosecutors sayMurray gave the King of Pop a lethal mixture of sedatives, including the anesthetic propofol and painkiller lidocaine on the night he died.

Attorney J. Michael Flanagan said he has been asking the prosecution for the testing for more than five months, but has been unable to reach agreement.
