Windsor unemployment rate drops to 4.9% in April

The jobless rate in Windsor continued to drop in April, coming in at 4.9 per cent, according to Statistics Canada.

• Windsor unemployment rate down to 5.1%

That's a slight decrease compared to the 5.2 per cent registered in March.

Nationally, the jobless rate also fell, from 6.7 per cent to 6.5 per cent.

The region, which ranked eighth lowest on the list of unemployment in larger Canadian cities last month, has seen a steady decline in unemployment over the past year.
