Windsor man fined for failing to minimize harm to fish

A Windsor man pleaded guilty to failing to release an undersized musky in a way that would not cause further harm to the fish.

A Windsor man pleaded guilty to failing to release an undersized muskiein a way that would not cause further harm to the fish.

Last September, Edmond Parent was in a boat on the Detroit River.

Some nearby anglers caught him on camera hitting a fish on the head, then throwing it back in the water.

The video was posted on YouTube, where it was seen by conservation officials.

Parent has been fined $1,000 and is also banned from fishing for two years.
