Windsor man charged with first degree murder in his father's death

Windsor police say they have charged a Windsor man with first degree murder, in relation to a homicide on Everts Avenue.

Windsor police say they have charged a Windsor man with first degree murder, in relation to a homicide on Everts Avenue.

At about 10:20 a.m. Wednesday morning, police responded to a call from a man who told them he was at a home on the 1600 block ofDrouillardRoad, just south of Reginald Street.

Based on information police received from that caller, they also went to a home onEvertsAvenuejust south of Tecumseh Road West near Campbell Avenue.

Police said that's where they found the body of a 66-year-old male with obvious signs of trauma.

As a result of the investigation, officers at the Drouillard Road home arrested the male caller, without incident.

Police said the arrested man was the adult son of the deceased victim.

Both homes are now contained as crime scenes.

David Sura, 38, is charged with one count of first degree murder.
