Sarnia, Ont., stabbing leaves 1 man injured another facing charges

A 25-year-old man is expected to recover after being stabbed in the leg, back, hand and abdomen, according to city police. The accused, a 31-year-old man, faces three charges.

A Sarnia, Ont., man is expected to recover after being stabbed in the leg, back, hand and abdomen, according to city police.

They say the 25-year-old victim was treated in hospital with what are described as "non-life-threatening" wounds.

Authorities were called to the area of Kathleen Avenue and Indian Road just before 4 a.m. Sunday for a weapons call.

After officers arrived, police say the suspect was seen entering a nearby home then leaving it a short time later.He was quicklyidentified and arrested.

The 31-year-old accused ischarged with aggravated assault, uttering threats to cause bodily harm and weapons dangerous.

According to police, the two men knew each other, and the weapon used in the incident has been recovered. They're asking anyone who may have witnessed what happened to come forward.
