Bellevue restoration in A'burg gets big boost from historical artist

Amherstburg's restoration of thehistorical Bellevue House got a financial boost this week with a renowned artist donating to the upcoming project.

Peter Rindlisbachersays he will donateproceeds from his next painting to help fund the work being done at Bellevue House.

Amherstburgtown council decided buy the historic mansion for $1.1 million, which will be paid over the next five years. The housedates back to 1816 and is on the National Trust for Canada's top 10 list of endangered places.

Rindlisbacher, who is a member of the Canadian Society of Marine Artists and American Society of Marine Artists, has donated proceeds from many of his sales to charitable organizations.
