Plush replicas of Justice fund animal cruelty investigations

A plush toy made in the image of Justice the dog is being sold to help raise money for animal cruelty investigations.

Justice was bound in electrical tape and abandoned behind a shopping centre in the city's east end almost a year ago.

The man responsible for the abuse was sentenced to jail time and Justice has made a full recovery and is living with a new family.

To raise money for animal abuse investigations, the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society is selling stuffed animals in Justice's image, complete with the dog's trademark scar over his snout.

Justice is the ideal image to raise money for animal cruelty, explained Melanie Coulter, executive director at the humane socity.

"Justice touched everyone's hearts and we knew so many people wanted to adopt him, wanted to take him home," she said. "We thought we'd give them a chance this holiday season to take home a little symbolic Justice and help fund cruelty investigations and other animals like him."
