Some 1,200 people attended a mass blind date at a Toronto theatre on Wednesday night.

The Ed Mirvish Theatre played matchmaker, setting up theatre fans at an evening showing of the musical Once itself the story of a couple falling in love.

The CBC's Shannon Martin was at the theatre and spoke with several fans who were hoping for a special connection during tonight's show. You can watch her full report above.
