Suspect in Garden Restaurant shoot-out turns himself in to police

A man wanted in connection with a shooting at a downtown Toronto restaurant in November surrendered to police Tuesday.

The shooting leftTariqMohammed, 31, ofMississauga, dead and sent two women to hospital.

Police say Havard McKenzie, 24, of Toronto, turned himself in to police at 31 Division at 1 a.m. and was charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a firearm.

In a statement, police said McKenzie was also charged with:

• Carrying a Concealed Weapon
• Weapons Dangerous
• Assault

• Pointing a Firearm

On August 18, police charged AbdirisakYusufIbrahim with first-degree murder and robbery after he and two other men shot three patrons at the popular Garden Restaurant on Dundas Street West near University Avenue.

In January, police arrestedMarcus Gibson, 22, and Ceyon Carrington, 28. They were bothcharged with first-degree murder and robbery with a firearm in relation to the shooting.
