Woman found dead, police seek arrest warrant for husband

Homicide investigators in Peel Region are seeking a warrant for the arrest of a man from the Philippines whose wife was found dead in a Mississauga apartment this weekend.

Homicide investigators in Peel Region are seeking a warrant for the arrest of a man from the Philippines whose wife was found dead in a Mississauga apartment this weekend.

Peel Regional Police were called to an apartment at 480 Lakeshore Rd. E. in Mississauga, where they found a "deceased female with obvious signs of trauma."

Investigators have since identified the victim as Aicha Saludares, 40, of Mississauga.

Police are now seeking a warrant for the arrest of her 39-year-old husband, Nelson Tayongtong.

Tayongtong is originally from the Philippines, but until recently was living in Mississauga.

He is described asfive feet seven inches with a slim build and short, black, straight hair.
