An Ontario mother wants to see all students with puffers permitted to carry them.

A woman whose son died after suffering a severe asthma attack during recess is pushing for changes that would allow all Ontario school children to carry their puffers with them.

Ryan Gibbons was just 12 years old when he died in October 2012.

His puffer was in the schools office, which his mother says was because school rules wouldnt let him carry it himself.

Sandra Gibbons believes her son would be alive today if he had been allowed to carry his puffer.

A private members bill, which has just passed second reading at Queens Park, could make that a reality for other students if it passes into law.
