Ontario budget to be tabled on Feb. 25

The MPP forMississaugaSouth revealed the date today during aspeech at the Empire Club in Toronto.

The budget is expected to include details on limited wine salesin grocery stores, and firm up the Liberals' plan toeliminate the$7.5 billion deficit in just two years.

NDP Leader Andrea Horwath is worried the Liberals will continueto freeze hospital budgets and make more cuts to health services,and says the budget should raise corporate income taxes.

Progressive Conservative Leader Patrick Brown says his party willoffer its ideas for what should be in the budget next week.

The Tories warn the Liberals will kill jobs and slow economicgrowth with their new provincial pension plan and theircap-and-trade system to put a price on carbon.
