Man charged with 2nd-degree murder in Scarborough homicide

A man previously wanted in connection with a homicide in Scarborough earlier this year has been extradited to Canada and charged with second-degree murder, Toronto police say.

A man previously wanted in connection with a homicide in Scarborough earlier this year has been extradited to Canada and charged with second-degree murder, Toronto police say.

The 30-year-old man was brought back to Canada from Jamaica on Aug. 9 with the help of the service'sfugitive squad, police said Monday.

He was scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing this past Saturday.

Mohamed "Mo" AbdallaMohamed, 40, was found dead inside an apartmentin the area of Lawrence Avenue E. and Morningside Road on the morning of April 24.

His body had "obvious signs of trauma," investigators said at the time, without elaborating further on the nature of his fatal injuries.
