Kathleen Wynne has 'taken action' on harassment complaints

Premier Kathleen Wynne says that when sexual harassment complaints have been brought to her attention, she has not let the matter drop.

Premier Kathleen Wynne says that when sexual harassment complaints have been brought to her attention, she has not let the matter drop.

"I have acted with respect to the wishes of the people who have brought the allegations forward for confidentiality, but I have taken action," Wynne said Thursday, when asked about whether she was aware of any sexual harassment complaints while serving as premier.

The premier did not offer specifics on any complaints brought to her attention.

She underscored the point that sexual harassment "is not a new issue," though it is being talked about right now as a result of a series of allegations that have been made public about former CBC host Jian Ghomeshi.
