Convicted of manslaughter in death of pregnant wife

Philip Grandine was sentenced for just under 15 years in prison after he was found guilty of manslaughter in death of pregnant wife.

Grandine was a pastor at the time his pregnant wife Karissa Grandine drowned in a bathtub three years ago. Prosecutors alleged he drugged and drowned her so he could continue a relationship with another woman one of his parishioners.

At his sentencing on Friday, the judge said there was no doubt in his mind that Grandine intended to harm his wife.

Grandine is sentenced to 14 years and eight months in prison, with one month time served.

He was 25 at the time of the manslaughter.
