Etobicoke shooting leaves man critical

A man in his 20s is in critical condition after a shooting early Wednesday in Etobicoke.

A man in his 20s is in critical condition after a shooting just after 2 a.m. Wednesday in Etobicoke.

The man was shot in the head outside a housing complex located at Waterton Road, near Scarlett Road and Lawrence Avenue West.

"The only thing we've got so far is that we've have two male suspects who ran up to the victim," Toronto police Sgt. Angelo Costa told CBC News. "There was an altercation, at which point there was a single shot fired."

Police are canvassing the area and appealing for witnesses with information to come forward.
