Blue Jays and Royals ALCS eerily mirrors '85 battle

Is the Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals battle history repeating itself in reverse?

Fluke or not?

Is the Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals battle history repeating itself in reverse?

The ongoing ALCS is a classic "we meet again" for the Toronto and Kansas City teams.

The clubs last duked it out for the pennant in 1985, when the Jays surrendered a 3-1 series lead and paved the way for the Royals' comeback.

And strangely, (creepily?), the 2015 ALCS bears striking similarities to its 30-year-old predecessor.

The parallels were meticulously noted by Matt Gross in a comments thread on blogBluebird Banter.

Fluke or not,the outcomes of Game 6 and a potential Game 7 will tell.

What do you make of the parallels?

OK, is this weird or what? (Matt Gross/Bluebird Banter/Screengrab)
