Thunder Bay city councillors hearing budget ideas

City councillors will spend much of Tuesday evening's meetingmeeting hearing the community's ideas forthe proposed 2015 municipal budget.

Administration has proposed a 6.3% tax increase. There are two options provided by administration to lower the tax hiketo roughly 4.5%.

One of the groups scheduled to make a presentation is Poverty Free Thunder Bay. The group saidit has concerns with a proposal to increase transit fares.

Another pitch will come from residents of the Townline Road area, asking council to approve money to chip-seal the road.
