"This is huge," said Botterill of the chance to show offher products at the Labour Day weekend event, which is expected to draw more than 100,000 people.

"The amount of people that are going to come by, that are going to take my business card, that are going to see my stuff, that are going to buy my stuff and then like my Facebook page and start following me on Instagram, like just being able to see everything that I do, this is just massive."

FanExpo is geared towards science fiction, and will featurethe writers, and stars of everything from Star Trek to the Walking Deadto the Marvel comic book universe.

"I tend to do things that I love, because if I'm going to be spending all this time looking at the fabric and sewing it, it has to be the ones that I love," Botterill said.
