Human remains found in Kenora belong to Delaine Copenace, OPP report

The human remains found by city of Kenora workers this morning have been identified as Delaine Copenace of Kenora, provincial police confirm.
The remains of Delaine Copenace, 16, were found by Kenora city workers Tuesday morning, provincial police report. She had been missing since Feb. 28. (Facebook)

The human remains found by city of Kenora workers this morning have been identified asDelaine Copenace of Kenora, provincial police confirm.

Copenacewas reported missing to the OPP on Feb.28and has been the subject of an active missing person investigation.

The coroner attended the scene and a post mortem examination has been ordered.The examination will take place at the Office of the Chief Coroner and Forensic Pathology Services located in Toronto at a date to be determined.

City workers made the discoveryshortly after 8a.m., at the end of Water Street in Lake of the Woods.
