Dryden collision leaves one dead

One woman is dead after a collision on Highway 17 in Dryden, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to a collision between a tractor trailer and an SUV Thursday evening.

The driver of the SUV, a 46-year-old woman from Sioux Lookout, died as a result of her injuries.

The other four occupants of the vehicle were treated for minor injuries at the Dryden hospital and were later released.

The driver of the tractor trailer was unhurt.

Police continue to investigate the incident.

The highway is open in both directions.
