Children's Aid Society launches Holiday Wishes Campaign in Thunder Bay

The Children's Aid Societyof Thunder Bay has teamed up with Thunder Bay'sWalmartstorestoremindthe community to give generously to kids in need this holiday season.

The Holiday Wishes Campaign will make thecity's three Walmart locations home to specially decorated trees, which people can visit if they wish to purchase a gift for a child in need.

"The goal of this campaign is to help make the holiday season a special and happy time for all children in our community," said BradBain, executive director at CAS, "every child should have a smile on their faces Christmas morning."

"In 2014, thanks to the generosity of Thunder Bay citizens, 433 gifts were donated. Last year, 434 gifts were donated," Bain said.

"And based on the generous nature of Thunder Bay citizens, we are hoping to reach 500 donations this year."

Anyone wishing to participate in the Holiday Wishes Campaign can visit a "wishes tree"at one of the stores,pick a snowman tag, purchase an age appropriate gift for the child and return the gift along with the tag to the collection bin at each store.

Agency volunteers and staff will then collect and wrap the gifts and deliver them to children's homes.
