Former Canada Revenue Agency worker facing breach of trust charges

A 45-year-old man and member of the Bacchus Motorcycle Club faces several charges after a 16-month investigation involving the Canada Revenue Agency, Sudbury police report.

A 45-year-old man and member of the Bacchus Motorcycle Club faces several charges after a 16-month investigation involving the Canada Revenue Agency, Sudbury police report.

In 2014, confidential CRArecords of local Sudbury residents were unlawfully accessed between November and December in 2014.

The man a former Canada Revenue Agency employee has been charged with offences related to:

  • Breach of Trust
  • Unauthorized Use of Computer
  • Committing a Criminal Offence for the Benefit of/in Association with a Criminal Organization (x2)
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Possession of Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition

The local residents whose information was accessed are being notified, police said.
