John Turmel to run for office for the 85th time

A byelection in Sudbury is ramping up, and for one candidate in the race, this will be his eighty-fifth time taking a run at politics.

A byelection in Sudbury is ramping up, and for one candidate in the race, this will be his eighty-fifth time taking a run at politics.

John Turmel, who is a professional gambler from Brantford,has run and lost in eighty-three elections since 1979. A byelection he was a candidate inin Guelph was cancelled by the call of a general election.

He holds a world record for being a political candidate so many times and his political strategy.

I dont knock on doors, he said.

Thats a waste of time for a small party candidate.

Turmel spoke on CBC Radios Up North on Friday.
