92-year-old woman killed by debris from a car crash in Sudbury, Ont.

A 92-year-old woman was killed after she was struck by debris from a car crash in Sudbury, Ont., on Wednesday morning.

A 92-year-old woman was killed after she was struck by debris from a car crash in Sudbury, Ont., on Wednesday morning, police said.

In a newsrelease, Greater Sudbury police said two vehicles were involved in a collision at the corner of Lloyd and Paris streets around 9:45 a.m. ET. The 92-year-old was walking on the sidewalk at the time.

Police say bystanders started life-saving measures on the woman, who was later transported to the hospital and pronounced dead.

Members of the traffic management unit are investigating the crash.
