Sudbury MPP Glenn Thibeault named to Liberal Cabinet

Sudbury MPP Glenn Thibeault has been named to Premier Kathleen Wynne's new Liberal Cabinet. The former NDP MP will be in charge of the Energy portfolio.

Sudbury MPP Glenn Thibeaulthas been named to Premier Kathleen Wynne'snewLiberal Cabinet.

The former NDPMP will be in charge of the energy portfolio.

Wynne's new provincial cabinet was sworn in this morning at Queen's Park in Toronto.

Thibeault joins his three other Liberal colleagues from northern Ontario who stayed in cabinet, but some of whom were shuffled to other jobs.

Sault Ste. Marie MPP David Orazietti moves to the community safety and correctional services, leading behind government and consumer services.

Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro is the new minister of municipal affairs and housing, departing the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, a portfolio normally held by a northern, in favour of Cambridge MPP Kathryn McGarry.

Thunder Bay-Superior North MPP Michael Gravellestays put as minister of Northern Development and Mines.
