2 youth warned for mischief in Canada Day porta-potty toppling

Two youth admitted to having been responsible but say they were unaware the portable washroom was occupied at the time.

The Saskatoon Police Service have issued warnings to two youth who admitted totipping overaporta-pottyat DiefenbakerPark on Canada Day.

Diefenbaker Park was the main site of Saskatoon's Canada 150 festivities.

A 57-year-old woman was using the portable washroom at about 11:30 p.m. CST when it was tipped over onto its door and she becametrapped.Good Samaritans freed the woman from the washroom and she later required medical care.

Police say three youth were identified as having been involved in the incident. Two of the youth admitted to having been responsible but say they were unaware the portable washroom was occupied at the time.

The two havebeen warned for mischief and will write letters of apology to the victim.

Police have not indicated any measures have been taken with the third reported youth.
