The Roots rock Saskatchewan Jazz Festival on Canada Day

There may have been smoke in the air last night, but that didn't stop fans at Saskatoon's Bessborough Gardens from rocking out with The Roots.

Formed in Philadelphia more than twenty years ago, the band has become one of the music world's top hip hop acts.

The band was backed up by Chali 2na from Jurassic 5 and DJ duo the Funk Hunters.
