Saskatoon teen recovering from multiple stab wounds after daytime downtown assault

A 15-year-old Saskatoon boy is recovering from multiple stab wounds after an attack downtown on Monday afternoon.

A 24-year-old Saskatoon man is facing a charge of aggravated assault after a daylight stabbing downtown on Monday.

A 15-year-old boy is recovering in hospital from multiple stab wounds.

It happened around 4 p.m. CST near the intersection of 21st St. E and 2nd Ave. S. Dozens of passersby gathered as police, fire and paramedics flooded the scene.

Officers were able to identify the suspect from video footage at nearby businesses, police say. Officers arrested him Monday evening.

Police say the victim and suspect did not knoweach other.
