Smoky skies continue for much of southern Saskatchewan

Environment Canada extends advisory for much of central and southern Saskatchewan.

Environment Canada has extended special air quality statements for many parts of central and southern Saskatchewan, assmoke from forest fires in Washington and B.C. driftsacross Western Canada.

Although air quality hasimproved over southern parts of the province today, the agency saidanother area of smoke is expected to move across the provincetonight and overnight into Monday.

Environment Canada saidthis new area of smoke will reduceair qualityand affect visibility in some areas, although conditions will vary depending on wind and other weather factors.

Even healthy peoplemay experience temporary irritation of eyes and throat andshortness of breath.

  • Moose Jaw - Pense - Central Butte - Craik
  • Fort Qu'Appelle - Indian Head - Lumsden - Pilot Butte
  • Assiniboia - Gravelbourg - Coronach
  • City of Saskatoon
  • Martensville - Warman - Rosthern - Delisle - Wakaw
  • Outlook - Watrous - Hanley - Imperial - Dinsmore
  • Humboldt - Wynyard - Wadena - Lanigan - Foam Lake
