Saskatoon Transit workers will be voting next week on whether or not to accept a deal for a collective bargaining agreement.

The Amalgamated Transit Union Local 615 and the City of Saskatoon have reached a tentative agreement after their latest rounds of bargaining. Workers haven't had an agreement in place since 2012.

The union representing workers posted a notice Friday evening that a special meeting will be held Tuesday for the vote.

Workers began job action on Nov. 12 after the union issued a "work to rule" directive and a ban on overtime to its membership.A release from the city said job action will continue until the agreement has been ratified.

If the union membership accepts the deal, it would go to city council for final approval.
