Police seize meth, cocaine, assault rifle in major Saskatoon drug bust

Police have charged three people after a major drug bust in Saskatoon.

Police have charged three people after a major drug bust in Saskatoon.

On Wednesday, police arrested a man and a woman in the Sutherland neighbourhood, around Violet Street and 112th Street.

After those arrests, police searched three homes across the city, as well as a fourth home in Waldheim, Sask.

Police said they seized more than 400 grams of cocaine, 480 grams of cannabis resin, 200 grams of methamphetamine, $30,000 dollars and an assault rifle.

The three people arrested have been charged with a number of offences, including cocaine trafficking, methamphetamine trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime.

Police said the arrests are part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.

The arrests were made by a special enforcement unit which is made up of police from Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Regina and RCMP F Division
